What better time to re-start a blog than right before several major life changes and on the tail end of a few other major life changes?
If you're new to following me, I'm Becki. My husband Kevin and I eloped in August 2020 (instead of having our regularly scheduled October 2020 wedding -- thanks, COVID) and we're currently expecting a baby.
As if that weren't enough big life changes, we're currently prepping for a major move from Massachusetts to North Carolina. I grew up in North Carolina, so we'll be moving a bit closer to my family, but since Kevin grew up in Massachusetts we'll be going further from his. It's a balancing act, to be sure, but we're very excited.
We are in the process of purchasing a house in NC (we're clear for closing, so now we just wait), so our lives right now are managing my pregnancy and packing for the move. Oh, and working full-time jobs, taking care of our pet guinea pigs (we have three), and trying to maintain our sanity during a pandemic.
It's a lot and we're exhausted, but it's all going to be worth it!
My first blog, Fighting for Wellness, was started in 2011 and was relatively successful. I went to several blogging conferences (and even spoke at a couple!), but as I started to find the wellness industry more and more toxic, I couldn't bring myself to keep up with it. I officially retired that blog in 2018 after having not posted for nearly a year and wasn't sure I'd ever blog again, but here we are!
